Top Restaurants in aspen

The Food and Wine Classic in Aspen is one of the most prestigious culinary events in the world! It should not really be all that surprising then to learn that Aspen is home to some of the best restaurants in the USA. From super chic and fancy to elevated comfort food, Aspen is a foodie’s paradise. If you are serious about your passions, consider grabbing a ticket for the food festival where you will meet and sample cuisine from some of the world’s most highly regarded chef's as well as try wines poured by Master Sommeliers’ ready to assist you with the perfect wine pairing.

Check out some of the amazing restaurant's in town. There's something for everyone, including more casual (but super delicious eateries such as the Latin inspired Zocalito. HOPS Culture is local microbrewery cuisine at its finest and is tons of fun to have a drink at. In the mood for Italian? Check out L'hostaria which also has an incredible wine selection to wash down all that delicious pasta! Need a good breakfast joint? Well look no further than Main St Bakery & Cafe for amazing omelets and eggs benny and breakfast sandwiches.

Of course, there is also apes ski! After a long exhausting day on the slopes putting in turns and shredding the gnar, it's great to raise a glass and have a sociable bite to eat with family and friends and reminisce on all the days’ activities. There are some amazing happy hour deals in this town. Head on over to the Limelight Lounge, or Cloud Nine for some good times, great drinks, and super company. Ajax Tavern is also a local favorite that's legendary in town.

If you like lists of restaurants, here are my 3 personal favorites:

  1. Mawa's Kitchen

Mawa McQueen’s culinary journey around the world started all the way back from the Ivory Coast, which took her to France, then England, then Maine and eventually she decided to settle down in beautiful Aspen, Colorado. This is just 1 of 3 restaurants owned and operated by this inspiring chef/owner. The focus here is definitely on local healthy cuisine for all hours of the day. For something a little more luxurious (and a lot more expensive) try out her $120 crepe with Beluga caviar… yum!

2. Meat & Cheese
317 E Hopkins Ave
Aspen, CO 81611

A food lover’s paradise. This place has everything. Cured meats, fresh cheeses from around the world. An extensive wine selection, some of the best local coffee, local brews, art and so much more. There’s even a little bar downstairs that serves cocktails infused with CBD (which sounds dangerous). But there definitely is something for everyone here, and it’s worth a stop just to see what curious new items from around the world they are offering these days.

3. Home Team BBQ
38750 CO-82
Aspen, CO 81611

South Carolina goodness at the base of Buttermilk Mountain. There’s the typical brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. Finger licking good ribs and all the usual sides. The best banana cream pie in the Rockies, and lots of sports on the TV’s. This is a fun place to hang out when you don’t want to spend a fortune,
